The school of Mechanical Engineering have signed student exchange agreements with many high-level universities in the world, such as INSA-Lyon, University of Pecs, RWTH Aachen University and University of Strathclyde. Dozens of students of the school are benefiting from these projects every year.
The international class of undergraduates, majoring in Mechanical Engineering was established in 2010. From 2012, it has been a combination of Chinese students and international students, which is a program fully delivered in English. Moreover, the international class of graduates in such form was found in 2013. Famous scholars from abroad are invited to teach courses to students and deliver lectures to young teachers. For instance, Prof. Yuan-Shin Lee from North Carolina State University offered Automate System Engineering courses, and Pro. John K Tan from Northumbria University gave lessons of Product Design.
